Environment

At Lakeview, we create classroom environments with an eye towards safety and skill development.  We understand that if children are to be successful and happy, it is up to us to create an place where that can happen. We are committed to making your child’s day as pleasant and filled with meaningful experiences as possible!

To ensure this, we are always mindful of hiring teachers who enjoy being with children and helping them learn.  We provide a warm, nurturing environment where children can experiment and learn new skills, guided by people who care about each child.

Lakeview respects each child’s need for a place to call their own and provides each child with a personal locker or cubby and crib or naptime cot.  Each classroom is arranged to promote a variety of opportunities for solitary, small group and large group activities.  In this way, we can help children discover, create and practice social skills.

Our physical environment is also designed to create a safe and friendly place for children to grow.  Our classrooms are set up so that the space, the furnishings and the activities are appropriate for each age group.  This includes our bathrooms and changing tables.  We provide separate, fenced in playgrounds so each classroom from infants to PreK has a safe, secure area for active play.  In addition, each center has a large multi-purpose room for active play when the weather prevents us from taking children outside.
