Lakeview Child Center maintains an open door policy. Parents and authorized relatives can visit without an appointment, anytime during hours of operation. Parents are encouraged to become involved in all center activities whenever possible. There are many ways for parents to participate, including Enrollment Conferences, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Open House/Parent Night, and Special Programs.

It is our belief that children benefit most when caregivers and parents work together and communicate regularly about the child's development. Parents are kept well informed and are welcome as observers and contributors to the program. A variety of communication methods are used including a log to record when each infant eats, sleeps and is diapered, a developmental record of infants and toddlers and a skills/concepts checklist to monitor the progress of our preschoolers. Newsletters are sent home monthly outlining the school's activities and upcoming events. Parent information boards are posted outside each classroom to inform family members about the types of play and learning activities that their children have participated in that day.
