About Us

Since the opening of our first location in 1985, Lakeview Child Center has steadily grown and expanded, building centers throughout Central New Jersey.

Our commitment is to provide a positive learning and growth experience in a caring atmosphere. Our educational program is designed to help children grow intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.

Lakeview Child Center is an affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton and RWJBarnabas Health, a non-profit corporation that includes a family of related companies providing a wide range of healthcare and support services to the community.

Philosophy and Approach

We believe all children are individuals whose needs, desires, abilities and learning styles may vary. Children develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally at a highly individualized pace.

Our goal is to provide a hands-on environment that stimulates a child’s creativity and sense of discovery. At Lakeview Child Center, children are encouraged to become active, responsible participants in the care of their surroundings. Our program will help each child develop independence, decision-making skills and a love for learning.

We believe children should be valued for who they are, and encouraged to develop a positive self-image. We help children to acknowledge and respect the differences that make each child unique.

We believe that fostering a positive working relationship among families, caregivers and children enables us to provide a strong, effective developmental program at Lakeview Child Center

Lakeview Child Center is required by the State of New Jersey Child Care Licensing Law to be licensed by the Bureau of the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services Department of Human Services, Office of Licensing (DYFS). A copy of the license is displayed in a prominent location in each center at all times.

To govern the establishment and operation of child care centers in the state of New Jersey, the Department of Human Services, Office of Licensing, has developed specific minimum requirements to ensure basic life/safety, health, program and administrative standards. All child care centers in the State of New Jersey must follow these regulations. As part of our commitment to quality, Lakeview Child Center has operating standards which frequently exceed licensing requirements.
